Sabra Field Art To be Featured At Bethany Ice Cream Social Sabra Field Art To be Featured At Bethany Ice Cream Social On Sunday, July 3 from 1-4 p.m. there will be a public ice cream social on the lawn of Bethany Church in downtown Randolph. The event celebrates Bethany's 100th year as a church for two congregations and is a fundraiser for the operation of the facility. At the social, there will be vanilla ice cream scooped into your bowl and a table full of toppings to choose from, including strawberries, walnuts, bananas, pineapple, hot fudge, whipped cream, and more! There is a suggested donation, but no one will be turned away because of a lack of funds. In the event of rain, this event will take place inside. The ice cream social will include the drawing of the lucky winner for the "In The Garden" quilt made by Sabra Field and the Women of the East Barnard Community Club. The beautiful, well-detailed quilt was won in a raffle 22 years ago by one of the members of Bethany church, who donated it to the church for this fundraiser. Tickets for the quilt are on sale now at Cover to Cover Books, the Clara Martin Center, and the Randolph National Bank, all in Randolph; or by calling 728-6598. They will also be available at the ice cream social July 3. Only 1,000 tickets were printed, and the beautiful garden motif quilt will be a collectors item, if it isn’t already. ____________ |
