Rotary Golf Tournament Rotary Golf Tournament Lots of golfers have signed up for this year’s 8th Annual Rotary Golf Tournament scheduled for Friday, Aug. 11, at Montague Golf Club in Randolph. There is still room for additional golfers and teams. Call Montague as soon as possible and make sure your team is signed up for this popular, annual golf tournament. The Randolph Rotary Scholarship Tournament is an 18 hole scramble tournament with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. It’s held annually to raise important funds for the Randolph Rotary Club Endowment Fund at the Vermont Community Foundation. Montague’s new greens, bunkers and irrigation system have people all over the White River Valley abuzz about the course, and this tournament is a terrific opportunity to enjoy the "All New Montague." For their entry fee, all golfers will play on a team, be eligible for prizes, hole in one challenges, and a full Spare Rib BBQ with all the trimmings in the remodeled club house. The best part of all is supporting future Randolph Union High School, and Randolph Technical Career Center, students wishing to attend college but needing invaluable assistance. White River Toyota and Bombardier have generously supplied Hole in One prizes on the 4th and 10th holes, while many area businesses have provided excellent door and raffle prizes including a Vermont Castings wood stove. If you’re looking for that one great tournament, benefiting a worthy cause, the Randolph Rotary Scholarship Tournament is the one to play in. Registration and entry forms are available at Montague Golf Club (728-3806), or at Century 21 The Mill Stone Agency in downtown Randolph in the Curves building. You may also ask any Randolph Rotarian and they will be happy to get you any and all pertinent information. The Randolph Rotary is a club of local business people, affiliated with Rotary International. Their goal is to put "service above self" in and effort to support charitable efforts both locally and internationally. ____________ |
