The Sharon Academy’s girls soccer team has a new coach, Brian Tonks, but a lot of returnees which should help make it easier for this first year coach. Seniors are Robin Spencer, Ada DeFriez, Lily Carter, Bekah Woodin, Elyza Chadwick, Emily Chadwick, Erin Kinnarney, and Rachel Sotak. Juniors are Annie McRay, Heather Skehan and Jeannelle Achee and sophomores Lydia Wood and Kathleen Parent.

New faces to the team include Elissa Parent; sophomore Olivia Connor (a transfer from Chelsea), freshmen Anna Fischer-Byrne and Ella Hayslett.

With the loss of only three players from last year’s squad, Chloe Madigan, Alli Diehlmann and Leigh Riley, the remaining girls appear to have a good handle on passing and a strong defense that just looks like it needs to develop a better shot selection as well as an over-all shooting game. TSA was 4-9 last year and lost in the opening round to Blue Mountain.
