RUHS Track Write-Up

By Rachel Jarvis

The Randolph high school track club had their first meet on Wednesday, April 25. There is only one new member to the club this year, junior Holly Mugford. Stephen Bent, Seth Dezan, Danielle Galbreath, Allie Byrne, Amy Richburg and Wes Simpson are all returning with a good amount of knowledge and experience from last year's season. Bent and Galbreath are both juniors, Dezan and Simpson are seniors.

Freshman Allie Byrne is no rookie, as she competed on the junior high track club last year. Junior Amy Richburg is also racing this year, and she is no newcomer either, last year she learned the ropes while managing for the team. Coaching the high school track team is Ginny Richburg. Richburg is a teacher at the school, and has had plenty of experience with racing track since her early years. The club is excited about the new meets this year, and the prospect of New Englands, which will take place in Massachusetts.

Jr. High Track

The junior high track team will start up their season Thursday, May 3 at Mt. Abe. Members include Kayla Thompson, Jake Zani, and Ryan Maxfield.

Coaching is Courtney Giknis, also a teacher at Randolph Union High School.
