Emma B. Englehardt

HANCOCK- Emma B. Englehardt, 84, formerly of Southbury, Conn., died unexpectedly Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

She was born in Maybrook, N.Y., Oct. 3, 1922, the daughter of the late John and May (Carnell) Maston.

On June 1, 1941, she married Walter A. Englehardt, Sr., in New Boston, Mass. He predeceased her in 1997, at the age of 78. She had been employed as a nurse's aide for many years with Lutheran Convalescent Home in Southbury, Conn.

Survivors include four sons, William and Thomas, both of Southbury, Conn., Louis of Granville, and Walter A. Jr. of Hancock; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Lori Englehardt, and by her brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Ready Funeral and Cremations Service of Burlington.
