Rochester High School Announces Valedictorian & Salutatorian

The valedictorian of Rochester High School Class of 2007 is Jennifer Moltz, daughter of Lynn and George Moltz.

In addition to being an honor student, Jenny has taken advantage of the opportunity of dual enrollment at Middlebury College. She spent the fall semester enrolled in a cell biology and genetics course in preparation for her intended major of Animal Science at UVM this fall. Her ultimate goal is to become a Veterinarian. She also earned the Green and Gold Scholarship to UVM.

Jenny's extracurricular activities include her commitment to the sport of gymnastics, competing all over the United States. She trains six days a week, year round, and competes from November to April. She was the Level 9 2007 Vermont All-Around Champion in her age group. She was also the managing editor for the school news paper, The Rocketimes, and editor of the yearbook, and enjoys playing the clarinet for the school band.

Cullen Haskins has been named salutatorian of the RHS Class of 2007. The son of Patty and Vern Haskins, Cullen has excelled in academics and athletics. His interests lie in the areas of engineering and technology. He was awarded the Clarkson University Academic Achievement and Leadership Award and Scholarship and will attend Clarkson this fall to study mechanical engineering.

Cullen's extracurricular activities include soccer, mountain biking, and acting. He started the first mountain bike club at RHS, plays percussion in the high school band and has been a model and mentor to many students at the school.
