Rotter Receives Academic Award At Law School

Randolph’s director of public works, John Rotter, has won high grades for his department’s performance during the super-snow winter of 2007-8. It turns out he’s no slouch with the law books, either.

A member of the Vermont Law School Class of 2008, Rotter has won an academic excellence award. He received the highest grade in the course, Federal Natural Resources Law. Rotter is studying for a Juris Doctor degree.

Prior to attending law school, Rotter received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. in 1998. He received a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the same school in 2000. Rotter is married to Sandy Rotter and has three children, Samantha, 17, Carley, 11, and John, 9.
