This is a new column that will appear weekly in The Herald, written by Hannah Becker. It will contain information regarding league standings, upcoming events, tournament results, improvements, and other interesting news about things happening at Montague Golf Club in Randolph.

Ladies League

Ladies League is comprised of seven teams.

The two teams currently leading with 11 points each are Team 4—Judy Luce, Linda Blair, Cindy Wood, and Pam Neff, and Team Par-Tee-Girls—Bunchie Angell, Sandy Bingham, Shirley Baumann, and Lynda Kingsbury-Ring.

Upcoming Events

• Flag Tournament: July 4

• Randolph Rotary Tournament: July 10 (open to members and non-members).

The Men’s Club Championship qualifying round was last weekend. The championship will be played on July 11 and 12. Bill Wilkinson is the defending champion.

The Ladies Club Championship will be played July 11 and 12 and ladies must sign up by July 1.

The Ladies Monday Night scramble is played every Monday night starting at 5:15. It is open to members and non-members. The golf is followed by a dinner.

A junior clinic is taking place every Thursday morning at 9 a.m. for eight weeks. There are seven weeks of instruction and a tournament the final week. Attendance every week is not required. If interested call the Pro Shop at 728-3806 to sign up.
