Big Loss for Chelsea Boys

By Jasmine Braman

On Friday, Jan. 29 the Chelsea boys traveled to Blue Mountain, and after a long 32 minutes, the Devils were handed a tough loss, 76-17.

In the first quarter, the Bucks got a huge jump on the Devils, out-scoring them and playing more aggressively. Chelsea had a hard time getting into the game, and their three points at the end of the first quarter were not enough to match Blue Mountains’ 24.

The Bucks continued to dominate in the second period, pouring in more and more points. Chelsea worked harder, but could only put up four points. After the first half, the score was 36-7, with the Blue Mountain Bucks running away with the lead.

Chelsea was unable to score much more in the third, only getting in two shots. Meanwhile, the baskets for Blue Mountain were still flowing.

The final quarter of the game saw Chelsea still struggling to find the basket. Chelsea was able to put together their best offensive period, scoring six points. Despite improving offensively, Chelsea continued to have a hard time slowing down the Bucks. By the end of the game, the Bucks had defeated the Devils 76-17.

High scorers for Chelsea were Jon Tremblay with seven points, Luke Amber and Tyler Barnaby both with four.

Chelsea played February 3 at home against the Rochester Rockets.
